I. Scope The standard applies to information required to be provided by buyers when consulting or ordering bridge and gantry cranes, and information required to be provided by manufacturers when bidding or delivering.
II. Information to be Provided by Buyers To enable manufacturers to sell or provide cranes and equipment that best meet operating conditions and usage requirements, buyers of bridge and gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) should provide corresponding information. Manufacturers can also refer to this to guide customers in understanding their own needs and agree on corresponding parameters and information.
III. Information to be Provided by Manufacturers
- Should provide technical documentation including but not limited to materials facilitating crane installation, testing, and use, applicable to the equipment and test certificates (ISO 7363); a manual should include detailed contents for daily use, inspection, and maintenance of the crane; installation information (if needed);
- Basic layout drawings of crane dimensions - manufacturers should provide basic layout drawings marking crane dimensions that meet buyer requirements. Specific drawing lists can be determined according to tender requirements or mutual agreement.
